Vivian Green performed in front of a sold out audience at Rams Head On Stage on Thursday, January 17, 2019. This show was part of two stops in the area over the weekend. In addition to playing a sold-out show at Rams Head On Stage, Green also performed at Bethesda Blues & Jazz Supper Club too.
With a discography of six studio albums, Vivian Green has established a solid fan base in the R&B world. Her most recent release VGVI, was released in 2017. The 13 song 42 minute project featured “I Don’t Know” which peaked at #9 on Billboard’s Adult R&B Chart.
Like many of her fans, my introduction to Vivian Green came in 2002 when her debut album A Love Story was released and featured her hit singles “Fanatic”, “Emotional Rollercoaster”, and “What Is Love?”
The Philadelphia native got her start as a singer at the age of 19 when she worked as a back-up singer for Jill Scott. Before getting her break as a singer, Green got a break as a song-writer when she helped pen Boyz II Men’s single “Dear God” off of their album Evolution in 1997 at the age of 18.
We sent photographer JC Collins to capture Vivian Green’s performance at Rams Head On Stage. Enjoy the photos and head over to JC’s Instagram page to see more of his work.
