The Lox made a stop at Baltimore Soundstage on Thursday, December 20, 2018. The concert was a “Celebration Of 20 Years Of Money Power Respect”. The group released Money, Power, & Respect on January 13, 1998 on Sean “P Diddy” Combs record label Bad Boy. The albums title comes from the feature song on the album “Money, Power, & Respect” which featured DMX and Lil Kim. The song topped out at #3 on the Billboard 200 chart and #1 on the R&B/Hip Hop album chart.
Joining The Lox on the bill to play before a nearly full house at Baltimore Soundstage were fellow New Yorker Tony Moxberg. And to open the show, local artists Duck Meyers, Profitt, and Guy Grams and his crew took the stage for three short sets.
The Lox delivered a 27 song set that kept the crowd in “Oooooh” mode the entire night. The group could have easily been on stage for more than the hour that they were. With all of the songs that the group has in their catalog and individually, they could have done a two hour set with no problem. In the middle of the Lox’s set there was a surprise set by rapper Lil Cease who ran through several of his hit songs.
To get a sense for how the night played out and for what you missed out on, here is a set of photo highlights. The complete set list of The Lox’s performance follows the photo highlights.
