Balkan Beat Box at the Howard Theatre
I am a big fan of Balkan Beat Box. The first time I saw the band in action was at a National Geographic after party. Ever since then I have been a fan. Their shows are one big party filled with songs that are influenced by middle eastern music, reggae, hip hop, traditional jewish and eastern European music to name a few. You may not of heard of the group, but you have heard their music. Especially, if you are fan of hip hop and R&B music. Jason Derulo’s hit single “Talk Dirty” has been on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart for a few weeks now. Derulo’s song samples Balkan Beat Box’s 2007 song ‘Hermetico’.
Doors open at the Howard Theatre at 6:00 p.m., and the show starts at 8:00 p.m. Tickets to the show are $22 in advance and $27 at the door. More information about the show can be found here.
