The Dream a.k.a The Radio Killa brought his hit filled live show to Rams Head Live on Tuesday, May 28, 2013. His stop in Baltimore was part of the current “Lights Out” tour. Co-headlining the “Lights Out” tour with the singer-songwriter and producer was Kelly Rowland.
The Dream recently released his fifth studio album titled IV Play. Over the past few years, The Dream has been getting noticed more for the songs that he sings and for his performances. What some people may not know is that they have been listening to songs by The Dream for quite some time, but he was not the one singing those songs. The four-time Grammy award winner is an exceptional song-writer. He has co-written a number of hit songs for various artist, including: Beyonce, Usher, Justin Beiber, Jennifer Hudson, Britney Spears, B2K, and Rhianna. He has been helping write and produce hit songs since 2001 when he got his first break.
His most recent album IV Play has a number of featured artist including Jay-Z, 2 Chainz, Beyonce, Gary Clark, Jr., Big Sean, and fellow headliner of the “Lights Out” tour Kelly Rowland to name a few. IV Play is currently available on his website http://www.the-dreammusic.com/discography/.
Those in attendance during his performance at Rams Head Live were fortunate enough to hear songs off of his new album as well as older hits like “Falsetto”, “Shawty Is Da Shit”, and “Rockin’ That Shit”. The same band that backed Kelly Rowland backed The Dream and they kept it tight for him just like they did for her. This tour is worth the ticket price and more. Even the two openers, August Alsina and Adrian Marcel, are worth arriving early for.
