The full moon seen above the city of Baltimore on Thursday, August 6, 2009. Sky gazers also caught a glimpse of the planet Jupiter which passed three degrees south of the moon.
Interested in getting a closer look at the night time sky? Stop by the Maryland Science Center’s Observatory on Friday nights for Stargazing Fridays. The Observatory is open 7:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m., weather permitting. Admission to the Observatory is free.
